What we do
As a Consortium we work with parent carers to improve services in Bolton for our children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND.)
We provide parents and carers numerous ways to contribute their opinions, concerns and aspirations so that as a consortium, we can represent a wide variety of experiences.
Our consortium members are already active participants in the lives of your children and young people through the voluntary organisations and charities that they are already involved with.
Our representatives from the consortium sit on panels and groups across the local authority that are involved with strategy, planning and reviewing in the following areas:
When we attend any of these groups/meetings, we represent all families of children and young people with SEND in Bolton. By being part of the consortium you can ensure your views, experiences and opinions are included.
To ensure that parent carers feel confident and assertive enough to voice their opinions, concerns and hopes for their children, we also offer opportunities for parents to attend workshops that will empower them with skills, knowledge and advice to support them on their journey.
